This is the month that we remember romance and presidents. It is also a month when we look to rodents to forecast the weather. In this area, we will see some yellow flowers and likely some premature blooms on fruit trees. These are all just some of the peculiarities of February.

Of course Valentine’s Day is the fourteenth, and it has just occurred to me that this is right in the middle of February’s twenty eight days.  Does that mean anything?  Probably not.  But since Valentine’s Day has the heart as its symbol and the heart is the symbol of love, let us determine to let love be the center of our lives.

Let’s make the choice to love our families selflessly and our neighbor as ourselves. Always remember to love the Lord your God with all your heart.  The flowers that bloom this month will be pretty.  The groundhog may or may not see his shadow.   But there is one thing for sure.  Love never fails.  And between faith, hope and love the greatest of these is love
