Propaganda

Well, I saw it on Facebook. A young boy is confused; he thinks he is a girl and he wants to be a girl. But he was created by God as a boy. His parents know this. They try to help him by sending him to a Christian counselor. The young boy commits suicide, most likely because he had been influenced by evil people who have an agenda to pursue. These people with an agenda to pursue then write a story about this boy and placed it on Facebook. In this story, they smear the boy’s Christian parents as intolerant bigots. They blamed them and the counselor for the boy’s death. This is called propaganda.

Here is the problem; some good people read the tear-jerking story about the young boy and are moved emotionally. They “like” the story and “copy and repost” it to their social media page. Never mind that the story does not tell the whole truth. Never mind that the story attacks God’s will and righteousness. Never mind that the story attacks Godly parents, all that matters is that their emotions prompted them to continue this propaganda.

So what is the result of good people “liking and reposting” this propaganda? Simply this, other confused young people who may have some respect for you see you as having approved of this story. Your approval encourages them to reject God’s will and continue in their confused state of mind.

This does not just apply to this story, but many other stories I have seen on Facebook. I have seen good people spreading propaganda about policemen, legalizing drugs, euthanasia, and many other things that are simply wrong. If you are a child of God you need to stop doing this.

The bottom line is this; emotions are fickle but God’s Word is not. When you are bored or have a lot of time on your hands don’t just sit and mindlessly accept everything you read on the internet. God made you with a brain, use it. And stop spreading propaganda.

The Great Necessity

It is necessary that God should punish rebellion and apostasy. The bible says; “The heavens are Yours, the earth also is Yours; The world and all its fullness, You have founded them. The north and the south, You have created them; – You have a mighty arm; Strong is Your hand, and high is Your right hand. Righteousness and justice are the foundation of Your throne;” (Psalm 89:11-14,)

Every act of rebellion, every act of sinfulness is a direct attack on the throne room of God. For Him not to punish sin is for Him to surrender to evil. God will and has acted on this necessity. He tells us; “Vengeance is Mine, and recompense; Their foot shall slip in due time; For the day of their calamity is at hand, And the things to come hasten upon them.’” And “For a fire is kindled in My anger, And shall burn to the lowest hell; It shall consume the earth with her increase, And set on fire the foundations of the mountains.” (Deuteronomy 32: 35& 22)

WE have a great necessity, to wake up, to remember our first love, to hear with the ears that God has given us the warning that God has spoken to us in Deut. 32:28. when He says “For they are a nation void of counsel, Nor is there any understanding in them. Oh, that they were wise, that they understood this, That they would consider their latter end!” (Deuteronomy 32:28-29)

Whooping the Okra

Okra, I’m glad it grows where I live. It is one of my favorite foods. It tastes good no matter how you cook it, and it is good for you. You plant it in the spring and it will keep producing until the first frost of the fall.  However, during the mid-growing season, it might stop producing. When this happens, my Nanny would say the Okra needs a good whooping.

A whooping! What did that mean? It is simple really. As an okra stalk grows it always produces at the top of the plant. Even though it is not producing any okra the bottom of the plant still has the old leaves. These old leaves are useless but they draw nutrients from the stalk and this prevents the plant from making tender okra at the top.  So, my Nanny would take a brush broom and knock the old leaves off. The okra would then begin producing again.

Usually here is where I would begin a spiritual analogy.  However, this is not a spiritual lesson, it is a civics lesson. You see the United States of America was designed to produce. With the natural resources that we have, we could and should be completely independent of the rest of the world.  This great land can produce everything that we, the American citizens need.

However, most elected politicians are like old okra leaves. They do no good and only hinder our great country. They have turned the government into a giant money laundering scheme to pad their evil egos. For example, no federal program or department ever accomplishes anything and they never go away. They were not designed to accomplish anything they were only designed to perpetually line the pockets of career politicians.

The politicians and the so-called news media constantly treat Americans like mushrooms, they want to keep us in the dark and feed us crap. They tell you that the programs and departments are for your own good. They say that the government will protect you and provide for your every need.  With governmental smoke and mirrors, they promise to defend your civil rights while behind your backs they decimate the Constitution. As long as they can convince gullible idiots to vote for them, they will get away with it.

The treasonous traitors in Washington DC have sold our birthright for their profit. The nation’s capital is full of bottom-feeding, nutrient-sucking parasites. It is time for God-fearing American citizens to take a brush broom to Washington DC and flail and give it a good whooping.

Do It Again Lord

Do it Again Lord

Lord, once there were people who were told by their government how they must worship. They were told who they would serve and what their doctrines would be. But You stirred their hearts and they rose up in defiance of the tyrannical rulers. They bravely risked their lives and sacrificed all they had for religious freedom.

Lord, once again we find ourselves oppressed by a government who would tell us how we must worship, who we will serve and what our doctrines will be. Lord you once stirred the hearts of your people to rise up in defiance of an unjust government, My prayer today is that you will do it again Lord

Lord, this great nation was born when men were stirred to fight for their Independence and freedom. Brave men realized that they were endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights. Lord you stirred the hearts of these brave men to stand up to despotism and demand the right to live in a land of truth, justice and righteousness. Today I beg you Lord, please do it again!

Lord, once you raised up great men to lead this nation. These men were not politicians who could be bought or swayed by vagrant ideologies. No, truly great leaders are valiant statesmen who stand on Biblical principles and refuse to be bought or bullied by ungodly men or entities. Lord you once raised up true leaders to guide this nation, please Lord do it again.

Lord, you once raised up prophetic men who were unafraid to stand before evil and corrupt leaders and proclaim , “Thus says the Lord’. Heavenly Father we once again need a Moses to say, “Let my people go”. Once again we need an Elijah to challenge the false gods and the evil Jezebels of today. Once again we need a Nathan who will stand before the nation’s leaders and say, “be sure you sins will find you out”. Once again we need a Jeremiah who will weep over this broken nation as he boldly proclaims a truth that burns in his bones. Once again we need a man like John the Baptist who will shout loudly, “Repent, because the Kingdom of God is at hand” Lord you raised these men up once, today I beg You please do again.

Lord, in past centuries you stirred the hearts of common people to call out to you and from these stirrings great awakenings were born. During these times of revival, fearless evangelist thundered across this land preaching that you must be born again. They proclaimed the truth of God’s word and did not hesitate to call evil, evil and sin, sin. Lord, we desperately need for You to do it again

Lord, once you made this nation great. But now we wallow in sin. The cesspool of sodomy is forced on us by evil men. Right is called wrong and wrong is called right. Today righteous people are ridiculed and perverted people are celebrated. How long Lord will you strive with wicked men.

Lord, you have told us that we who are your people must humble ourselves and pray, and that if we will turn from our wicked ways, then you will hear from heaven and heal our land.

Lord you once made this nation great; it is my humble prayer that you will please do it again.

More Than Conquerors

What is a conqueror? A conqueror is someone who enters into battle with the knowledge that he might lose. Yet with courage and determination he pours all he has into the battle seeking to overcome the enemy. Hoping that he will be victorious.

However, the Bible tells us that a child of God is more than a conqueror. What does it mean to be more than a conqueror? Well, a person who is more than a conqueror knows that the fight is fixed and he cannot lose. As we enter the battle, we know that we can be wounded and injured. There will be times when we are frightened and discouraged. And yet, we are more than conquerors, because we have the assurance that whoever is born again has already overcome the world. Our hope is in Christ and He has already made us victorious.

Yes, those of us who are more than conquerors are assured of victory before the battle even begins. When Moses demanded that Pharaoh let the Israelites go, Pharaoh was already defeated. The walls of Jericho could not stand, because Joshua obeyed the instructions of the Commander of the Army of the Lord. And the giant Goliath had no chance against a little shepherd boy, because David knew that the battle belonged to the Lord.

We have this promise, if God is for us then no one can stand against us. So, I’m absolutely convinced that nothing—nothing living or dead, angelic or demonic, today or tomorrow, high or low, thinkable or unthinkable can defeat us. If Jesus is your Lord, absolutely nothing can come between you and God’s love. Victory is ours because in Christ we are More than Conquerors

Riding on the Wings of the wind

This may seem strange to some of you, but I am a superhero fan. Especially Superman and Batman. It is entertaining and sometimes inspiring to see these noble characters with their courage and conviction rushing in to defeat the evil villains. Often as I listen to the news and hear of the evil in this world, I wish there really was a Superman who could fly in and crush the bad guys. When I hear of sickness and diseases in the world, I wish that a Bruce Wayne would invent the cure. Then Batman would deliver the antidote to the afflicted while riding on the wings of the wind.

Now I know that these superheroes are simple fictional characters. Superman will never save the day and Batman will never solve any riddles. However, I can see how most superheroes may have been inspired by Biblical stories. Throughout the Bible we read of many common men who were raised up by God to accomplish miraculous feats. For instance, think of Moses who divided waters and called down fire as he delivered his people to the promised land. Then with one of the greatest story endings of all time, he walks up to a mountain top to die in the presence of God.

When I watch a Super Hero movie the special effects are awesome, but they cannot match the powers of my God. In 2 Samuel 22, I read that when God’s children are attacked by His enemies the anger of God is stirred. Then the earth shakes and the foundations of Heaven tremble. His voice thunders from heaven and the lightning bolts fly like arrows from His bow. Look and you will see the clouds billowing out behind Him like a cloak of righteousness as he comes Riding on the Wings of the Wind.

As I continue to read this chapter, I find that God can still use common men in uncommon ways. When we place our feet on the Rock of His salvation, His strength and power will be ours. He will teach us how to be spiritual warriors and our prayers will fly like arrows from a bow. The Blood of Jesus will be the shield of our salvation. The Word of our Testimony will be the destruction of our enemy. Then one day this Greatest Story ever told will come to an end. The theme music of our Savior will sound like a trumpet. The sky will crack open and we will rise to meet The Lord while Riding on the Wings of the Wind.

I J LED, The Major Prophets

Isaiah, Jeremiah, Lamentations, Ezekiel and Daniel. The writers of these books of the Bible are called major prophets. However, these men would not be popular preachers in todays world. They would be canceled by the woke culture. Talking heads in the news industry would call them religious kooks. Most politicians would label them as right wing terrorists. The elite denominational leaders would shun them and call them conspiracy theorist .

Isaiah was a visionary and Jeremiah was tenderhearted. God gave Ezekiel a hard head and He blessed Daniel with the gift of diplomacy. These men were called by God, led by God and answered only to God. They knew that it was not their responsibly to please people. They were called to say, “ thus says the Lord.” Their responsibility was to speak God’s truth regardless of the consequences.

A pandemic of stupidity has infected the world today. It is a direct result of religious leaders who are controlled by the prevailing winds of popular opinion. Many churches have decided that putting rear ends in pews is more important than putting truth in people’s hearts. They would rather disobey God than offend people. Instead of standing on the word of God, they listen to news media, entertainment figures and politicians. This is why churches are dying and souls are being lost.

God’s people need to be like the great prophets in the Bible. All of us need to be visionaries with tender hearts, hard heads and like Daniel be diplomatic but willing to brave a den of hungry lions. The world does not need any more smiling preachers or tolerant Christians. It needs prophets whose feet are planted on foundations of righteousness. It needs followers of Christ who are rooted and grounded deep in God’s Word.

That old long con artist Satan has stung society into lunacy. Now it is time for Christians to stop going along with anything in order to get along with everyone. We must take the old prophets as our mentors and be willing to suffer anything for our God and Savior. We are God’s watchmen so let us exercise our right and responsibility to be salt and light to a dark and rotting world.

Rise Up

I confess, like most people, sometimes I miss important words in the Bible. For instance in Matthew 11:11 Jesus says “Among those born of women there has not risen one greater than John the Baptist.” As often as I have read that passage of scripture until recently I had not considered the word, “risen.” This is important because John was not born great. Jesus is telling us that John the Baptist rose to greatness.

Yes I know that the circumstances of John’s birth were miraculous. However, that was not what made him great. John became great when he rose up and unashamedly preached the need for repentance. Pointing to Jesus he joyfully proclaimed that He was the Lamb of God. Then John rose up and fearlessly pointed out the sins of King Herod. After this he relentlessly clung to the Kingdom of Heaven even as the axe separated his head from his body. No, he was not born great, but by his faith John rose to greatness.

Strangely enough after Jesus honors the greatness of John, He then turns to you and I and says “He who is least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than John.” I believe that through these words Jesus is issuing a challenge to all of us. This is the challenge; Godly men must rise for the Glory of God and by faith cling to the kingdom of heaven.

This time we live in is strange and terrifying. This world has a need for great men who will stand up for righteousness and the Kingdom of God. These men will not come from the entertainment or sports venues. Nor will they come from the pulpit or political world. The Holy Sprit is looking for ordinary men who will sink to their knees in prayer and stand up to do battle with the enemy.

For the sake of our children and grandchildren, it is time for ordinary men to cling to the Kingdom of Heaven and by faith rise up to greatness.

Nothing But the Truth

The old man sat in a corner of the church enjoying the worship service. He was the best preacher and teacher in the church, but he seldom spoke anymore. He was old and he was tired so he had passed the baton to another generation. But in recent months, he had begun to be concerned about the things being taught to the congregation. The pure Gospel of Jesus Christ was being changed to appeal to a larger audience. Many were teaching that Jesus was not a real person and that He was not the only way to the Father. The old man determined he must speak out. He would tolerate nothing, but the truth.

With strength in his legs and firmness in his voice which he had not felt in months, he stood and began to speak. This is how his message began “That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, concerning the Word of life” Yes, the old man was John the beloved, the one whom Jesus loved. He was the last of the generation that had eaten fish with Jesus. He had leaned against the breast of the Master. He had watched the Savior die and he saw Him live again. He, the one whom Jesus loved, would never let the Lover of his soul be marginalized by any teaching that was not the truth.

John stood as a wall that was intolerant of false teachers. He proclaimed that Jesus is alive and we can walk with Him and talk with Him. He taught that the Son of God was the only one who could stand for us as an advocate before the Father. John knew that the Holy Spirit bore witness to the Truth. He also knew that the Antichrist had evil spirits speaking through many false prophets. John’s writings teach us, if we are children of God we will be obedient to God. And if we are obedient to God, we will tolerate nothing but the truth about the Savior .

Jesus is the one who was from the beginning. With my ears I have heard His voice and with my eyes I have seen his love. His breath has breathed life into my soul and His touch has guided my steps. Like John, I have been heartbroken when man made doctrines have guided people into hell. Now while many preachers are arguing the finer points of Calvinism and Arminianism, I have determined to know nothing but Christ and Him crucified. Jesus Christ is the living Savior. This is truth. I challenge all who hear and read these words. Stand on the Word of God, accept only the truth and nothing but the truth.

American History

These fundamental objects of the Constitution are in perfect
harmony with the revealed objects of the Christian religion.
Union, justice, peace, the general welfare, and the blessings of civil and religious liberty, are the objects of Christianity, and always secured under its practical and beneficent reign.

The state must rest upon the basis of religion, and it must
preserve this basis, or itself must fall. But the support which
religion gives to the state will obviously cease the moment religion loses its hold upon the popular mind.

This is a Christian nation, first in name, and secondly because of the many and mighty elements of a pure Christianity which have given it character and shaped its destiny from the beginning. It is preeminently the land of the Bible,of the Christian Church, and of the Christian Sabbath……..

The chief security glory of the United States of America has
been, is now, and will be forever, the prevalence and domination of the Christian faith.

( From the book, “The Christian Life and Character of the Civil Institutions of United States.” By Benjamin Franklin Morris)
