This is the first time I have posted anything since September 12. This post will not be long. If anyone is interested, I just want them to know about my health status and what has been going on.
On September 13, I checked into the hospital for heart Bypass surgery. They opened my chest at the sternum to get to my heart. Then using veins from my left leg, they bypassed three blocked arteries in my heart.
There is some great good news.
1. The surgery was a success.
2. The problem was found and fixed. This happened before I had a heart attack. So, there was no damage to my heart.
3. Because I was healthy and active before the surgery my recovery is going well.
For all these things I am thankful to my Father in Heaven.
There are a lot of people I am grateful for. Because I want to be brief, I won’t name names. However, I am thankful to my primary care doctor, the cardiologist, and the surgeon who diagnosed and fixed the problem. Also, to the ministering angels called nurses, thank you for taking care of me with such skill and compassion. My family also blesses me, they have been by my side all the way.
Right now, I am glad that the physical heart and spiritual heart are different things. Because the physical heart could not take the swelling that my spiritual heart has been through. So many people praying for me and so many people offering to help in any way they can. Family, friends, churches, and people I didn’t even know let me know they were praying for me. My spiritual heart has been overwhelmed by the love and kindness of people and the goodness of God.
Finally, Deborah and I thank you for your continued prayers. Thank you for the love and kindness you have shown. Most of all I thank God for His merciful healing touch. He is not done with me yet. For this reason, I pledge to continue to glorify Him with all my heart.
“I will praise the name of God with a song, And will magnify Him with thanksgiving.”
